You Will Need:

Making your own home décor has all it’s advantages. You can customise and personalise them to your taste and sync it to your home décor. Here is one such DIY that can be tuned to your liking. A key dangler with motivational phrases that is sure to bring in good and happy vibes. A great idea to surprise a close friend or family member as a house warming gift.

STEP 1 : Source the base

Take corrugated sheets and draw key shapes measuring 14” x 4’ in size

STEP 2 : Cut key shapes

Cut the key shapes using a sharp paper cutter. Make three such key shapes.

STEP 3 : Prepare with a base coat

Paint with a base coat of Fevicryl Acrylic White 27. Let it dry.

STEP 4 : Prepare the dough

Take Fevicryl Mouldit – resin base & hardener, mix well to make an even dough.

STEP 5 : Mould the borders

Take silicon moulds, press in the dough and neatly remove. This will form the borders of the keys.

STEP 6 : Sticking the borders

Place and stick borders neatly using Fevicryl Fabric Glue, just like you seen in the image. Also create a thin border along the edges with thin coils of dough, use Fabric Glue to stick.

STEP 7 : Start painting the bases

Paint the base of the keys using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Leaf Green 62, Salmon Pink 65 and Teal Blue 68. Let it dry.

STEP 8 : Paint the borders & typo

Paint the borders in similar shades, as that of their bases. Paint motivational phrases in the centre as seen in the image.

STEP 9

To enhance the typo and phrase, make cute little motifs like clouds, bees and flowers thereby completing the entire look. Enhance the phrases / typo

STEP 10 : Assembling the creation

String in wooden beads into a jute cord and fasten the ends with tassels. Make a pair of this beaded string and stick from the rear side using Fevicryl Fabric Glue.

STEP 11 : Final touches

Neatly tie the creation onto a rustic strong twig / stick that has been painted with a coat of white. Your pretty motivational DIY is now ready!
