Description :

Create vibrant fabric coasters featuring traditional Kerala Mural designs, adding a touch of Indian heritage to your home decor.

STEP 1 : Prepare the Coaster Base
  • Start by cutting 4” x 4” squares from the casement fabric, leaving a little extra on each side.
  • Cut the same size squares from the canvas sheet.
  • Place the canvas square on the fabric, fold the edges of the fabric over the canvas, and glue them down to secure it.
  • This will provide sturdiness to the coasters.
  • Let the glue dry completely, and your fabric coaster base is ready.
STEP 2 : Draw and Trace the Design on Coasters
  • Draw four different Kerala Mural designs on A3 white paper, sized to fit the coasters.
  • Use yellow carbon paper to trace the designs onto the coasters.
  • Refer to the image for guidance.
STEP 3 : Start Painting the Design
  • Begin painting the design using Fevicryl Fabric Colours such as Burnt Sienna 201, Black 202, Chrome Yellow 203, Golden Yellow 209, and others, including Neon Pink 018 from Acrylic Colours.
  • Let the paint dry completely.
STEP 4 : Final Look
  • Add finishing touches with a thin brush to enhance the beauty of the design.
  • Your Kerala Mural fabric coasters are now complete.
