Jar For Sweets

The best way to celebrate your happiness and joys are to share sweets with your near and dear ones. This sweet jar or a cookie jar specially handcrafted by you is sure to double up your joy of sharing.

 

how to do it yourself

STEP 1:-

Jar For Sweets  - Step 1 | Hobbyideas

Take Shilpkar Resin Base and Hardener and mix it in equal quantities

STEP 2:-

Knead it to form an even white dough
Leave it aside for 10 minutes to harden a little

STEP 3:-

Roll thin coils on your palm or on an OHP sheet

STEP 4:-

Roll thin coils into Llaf shapes
Stick them on the jar in an arrangement of your choice
You may use No Stitch Fabric Glue incase the Shilpkar dries up a bit
You may also add few more designs in curvilinear lines if you wish to

STEP 5:-

Colour these shapes in a darker shade of maroon made by mixing with Fevicryl Acrylic Colour – Maroon and little bit of Black
Fevicryl Sparkling Pearl Colour - Silver is used to highlight the petals if you wish to
Let them dry

STEP 6:-

Further decorate the glass jar by sticking green and red coloured ornamental stones by using Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue as a final touch to complete it's look
Let it dry

you will need

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Maroon 14, Black 02, Fevicryl Sparkling Pearl Colour - Silver 919, Fevicryl Non Sticky Shilpkar, Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Colour Palette , Water Container, OHP Sheet, German Silver Glass Jar and Stones - Green & Red, Talcum Powder
