STEP 1 : How to prepare the box
Take a wooden MDF box that has a lid. Begin by painting the box with Acrylic Colour – White 27; this will be the base coat before the desired colour is painted. Putting a base coat is important as the colour looks rich and dense once completed. After the white base coat has dried completely, paint with Greenery – 67 evenly all over the wooden box and leave it to dry well.
STEP 2 : Tracing the pattern on the painted box
We have chosen leaves in a random form to be drawn on the box and lid in a candid and natural manner. As you can see in the image we have drawn the leaves that merge well with the lid and box.
STEP 3 : Outlining the design
To accentuate the leaves, outline each of the leaves with veins with 3D Cone Outliner – Black 708 and let it dry well.
STEP 4 : Painting the leaves
Now is the time to paint the inside of the leaves with a light shade of green mixed with a bit of Chrome Yellow 03 and White 27, to get a natural look of foliage / leaves. Your box is ready to be used once it has dried completely. Use it to store your small pieces of trinkets, or odd and ends.
