Description :
To decorate your home this Christmas, make your own candle stand. This Holly candle stand is good for Christmas Gifts too.
STEP 1
Mix the Fevicryl Shilpkar Resin Base and the Hardener thoroughly to make an even dough. Make small balls of Shilpkar for the cherries. To make the leaves for the hollies, roll a slab out of the Shilpkar and cut out leaves of the hollies with serrated edges. Pinch the leaves at the edges to give it a proper look and shape so that it looks real. Allow this to harden. Meanwhile start working on the base.
STEP 2
Mix a little water with the Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Burnt Sienna. Apply 3 coats of this to the canvas board. Allow 5 minutes break between each coat to allow the individual coats to dry.
STEP 3
Mix a little Fevicryl Acrylic Colour black to a good amount of Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Burnt Sienna to darken the colour. Use this Dark brown to work on the grains of the wood to give the canvas a “Wood Finish” appearance. Allow this to dry.
STEP 4
Start working with the cherries and leaves. Paint the cherries using Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Crimson. Paint the leaves using Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Sap Green and use Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Lemon Yellow to give the highlights.
STEP 5
After everything dries out, stick all the cherries, leaves and the small fancy container aesthetically with Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue.
STEP 6
Apply a coat of Fabric Glue all over your piece to protect it from damage. You can Varnish it further.
