Glass Colour Painted Honey Bees

This cute looking pair of honey bees are painted using combinations of acrylic colours and glass colours giving a glassy finish. You can try using this painting technique of merging two different colouring mediums on different surfaces and designs

how to do it yourself

STEP 1:-

Take a round placemat
Give a base coat of Acrylic Colour Golden Yellow
Leave it to dry

STEP 2:-

Draw a very light hexagon in the centre of the painted placemat
Extend the hexagonal pattern all over the placemat to make a honeycomb pattern
Draw two Honey bees as well

STEP 3:-

Paint the Honeycomb pattern in thick outlines using Acrylic Colour Burnt Sienna
Paint the bees in Acrylic Colour Golden Yellow, Brown and Black, paint the eyes Black and White
Leave it to dry

STEP 4:-

Outline the hexagonal pattern with a darker shade of brown
Further outline it with 3D Ouliner Non Sticky Glitter Gold
Leave it to dry

STEP 5:-

Colour the bees further in Water Based Glass Colour Yellow to give a glassy finish
