Fringed Floral Rakhi

You Will Need:

Fevicryl Liquid Embroidery Cone Pearl Metallic – Gold 352, Fevicol MR, Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue, Slotted Quilling Tool, Metallic Coloured Paper Quilling Strips - 3 mm thickness, A4 sized Thick Golden Coloured Handmade Paper, Pencil, Ruler, Scissors, Beads, Satin Ribbon Or Plaited Cord

Description :

Make paper fringed flowers in the colours of your choice, to make lovely personalized rakhis for your brother. You may enhance the rakhi further by using beads and Liquid Embroidery colours

 

STEP 1
Take the metallic golden coloured A4 sized handmade paper You may select the paper in the colour of your choice
STEP 2
Take a red or a copper metallic strip and roll it tight on the slotted quilling tool Stick the ends and let the roll be on the tool
STEP 3
Measure and cut a thick strip of 1.5 cms from its longer side Give small equidistant cuts on one edge of the strip to make a fringed flower Roll a fringed strip around the copper strip already rolled Stick the ends of the strip and press the cut fringes down to make a beautiful fringed flower with a copper coloured central part
STEP 4
Roll a few tight quills from the metallic coloured strips to enhance the rakhi
STEP 5
Arrange and stick the fringed flower, tight rolls and the square beads on the golden cord The beads are further enhanced with Liquid Embroidery Cone - Gold
