Upload Your Own CreationsThis bird with flapping wings is a very good craft activity for children to play with. Dangle a group of birds in your window and let them fly with the wind
Take an A4 sized off white coloured, thick handmade paper
Fold the paper into half
Draw the outer shape of the bird on the folded paper
Cut out the birds from the paper
Give a horizontal slit of about 1" long towards the upper edge of the bird
Use a paper cutter to give this cut
Sandwich a yarn or a string in between the the two bird cut outs, and stick them together using Fevicol MR
Draw and colour a big eye and the beak of the bird using Rangeela Oil Pastels
Colour the bird in the colours of your choice
Outline the bird using a black crayon
Take 6" x 6" sized one sided printed origami paper and fan fold it
Insert the fanfold in the cut given on the back of the bird
Spread the fan fold to make the birds wings
You may stick the fan on to the bird's body to make the wings look spread open
Punch a hole in the centre of the lower side of the fanfold of the wings on either sides
Guard the punched hole with the hole guard
String a yarn through both the holes and tie a knot on the upper side
Bring both the yarns together and tie a knot to form a 'V' of the strings
String the beads in the extra yarn left below
You can make the bird's wings flap as your pull the string up and down
You may also colour the bird using Rangeela Tempera Colours and string few bells instead
