how to do it yourself

STEP 1:-

Wash and clean all mirror pieces.

STEP 2:-

Fix the white carbon paper with the stencil design over it using Prime Eezytear Tape on the backside of the mirror and trace the design.

STEP 3:-

Now scratch the design carefully using a knife to remove the mercury layer from the glass. Clean the glass dust thoroughly which were created due to scratching.

STEP 4:-

Dip the cotton buds into hydrochloric acid and rub it on the scratched portion of the glass to create evenness.

STEP 5:-

Now paint the corner designs with Fevicryl Glass Colours Solvent Based- Turquoise Blue, the flowers with Tomato Red and Orange.
Paint the leaves with Dark Green. Let it dry.

STEP 6:-

Take Fevicryl Shilpkar, mix the resin base and hardener evenly to form even dough.
You may sprinkle little talcum powder on your hands to avoid sticking.

STEP 7:-

Join the four glasses to form a lampshade using shilpkar dough. Leave to harden.

STEP 8:-

In order to cover the dough joining and to give a neat look to the lampshade, stick small mirrors on the edges using Fevicol MR.

STEP 9:-

Tie the thread to hang.

you will need

Fevicryl Glass Colours Solvent Based,Fevicryl Shilpkar,Prime Eezytear Tape,Fevicol MR,Fevicryl Stencil- floral,Fine Art Brushes. 4 pieces of mirror (size – 12”X5”, 3mm thickness- with holes to hang), Sharp knife, Hydrochloric Acid, Strong thick thread, Cotton Buds, White carbon paper, Pencil, Small square mirrors, Talcum powder.
