A decorative toran handmade to perfection is an apt addition to your home décor this festive season. Made with fabric and enhanced with sparkling embellishments makes it the perfect DIY.
Take half a meter of pink fabric.
Cut 3.5” circles using a pair of scissors.
Take a sheet of paper canvas and cut it in the same size as that of the pink fabric circles. Sandwich the paper canvas in between two fabric circles, securing the ends with Fevicryl Fabric Glue. Decorate the borders with gotta patti lace. Make around 5 – 8 such pieces depending on the length of the toran you want.
Take half a meter of orange fabric and cut it into 2.5” in diameter.
Cut the fabric circles just till the centre and form cones by sealing the edges with Fevicryl Fabric Glue. Make around 5 – 8 such shapes.
Start embellishing the circles & cones with half cut pearls, gold ball chains and ornamental stones using Fevicryl Fabric Glue.
Once embellished completely they would look like this.
Take a ball of pink wool and make tassels.
Take a gotta patti lace and stick the circles with cones towards the ends, along with tassels in between the spaces. Once done and ready your festive toran is ready in all its splendour.
