Fabric Cutwork Backdrop
You Will Need:
Fevicryl Liquid Embroidery Glitter - Gold Rush 408, Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue, A3 Sized White Paper, Pencil, Ruler, Yellow Polycot Fabric 24” x 24” in Size, Pink Polycot Fabric 26” x 26 in size, Incense Stick, Match Box, Red Carbon Paper
Description :
This fabric cutwork designed backdrop for Ganesha brings a festive feeling with its bright colours and handmade touch. A simple cutwork done and a fabric backing along with a cutwork design adds brightness to the whole project.
STEP 1
Take an A3 sized white paper
Draw a border with a paisley design and lotus flowers on one corner
The border measures about 3 inches in thickness and 18 inches in length
STEP 2
Take a yellow polycot fabric measuring 24” X 24” in size
Trace the design on the fabric for the borders and a scalloped outline for the edges of the fabric
Draw a square measuring 14" x 14" inside the border filled in with a checkered pattern
Outline the complete design using Liquid Embroidery Glitter - Gold Rush
Leave it to dry
STEP 3
Burn out the border design using an incence stick
The Liquid Embroidery outlines will protect and make it easy to burn the fabric within the outlines only
STEP 4
The outlined scalloped border and the checkered pattern are also burned using an incence stick
STEP 5
Take a pink polycot fabric for the backing and a yellow cutwork fabric measuring
26” x 26” inches in size
Create a scalloped outline for the edges of the backdrop
Outline the design using Liquid Embroidery Glitter - Gold Rush
Leave it to dry
Burn the scalloped outlines with an incense stick to make cutwork borders
STEP 6
Arrange the yellow fabric on the pink fabric
Stick the yellow fabric on the pink fabric using No Stitch Fabric Glue along its borders
Leave it to dry
