Easy Clay Flower Making

You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colour – Crimson 04, Lemon Yellow 11, White 27, Leaf Green 62, Fevicryl Non Sticky Shilpkar, Fine Art Brushes, A4 Sized OHP Sheet, , Hook and the Loop, Toothpick

Description :
Clay has taken the imagination of crafters by storm and every day they are churning out beautiful pieces in scores. We will start from the basics of making clay flowers and using them in jewelery.
STEP 1
Take Shilpkar Resin Base and Hardener in equal quantities.
STEP 2
Mix it together to form an even dough.
STEP 3
Make a few round balls of Shilpkar, about ½ cm in diameter and press them gently to get a thin disc.
STEP 4
Start with twisting a disc and arranging others around it to make a rose flower. Make a couple of more roses in a similar fashion. Refer the image.
STEP 5
Keep an OHP sheet on the working surface and place a round disc on it. Arrange the roses as in the image.
STEP 6
Similarly make buds, leaves and small flowers and arrange them as in the image above. Leave it to dry for 20 mins
STEP 7
Start painting the flowers, leaves and buds in a shading manner using a fine brush.
STEP 8
Place the hook on the top of the earrings and string a chain through the pendant. The clay flowers are ready for you. Aren't they just lovely? Clay flower making may require a bit of patience and skill but the result will definitely please you!
