This quilled purple flower made simply using the basic techniques of quilling makes a wonderful handmade table top decorative piece. You may decorate a bunch of pebbles with flowers and keep it as a centre table piece or you use it as a paper weight.
Take 3mm thick quilling strips
Choose two colours in the strip, we have selected a light and a dark shade in violet colour
Make 5 small loose coils in dark violet coloured strips
Shape them in a tear drop shape
The rest of the petals are made in two colours
The size of the petals grow slightly bigger as you start arranging the petals of the flower
Take a medium sized pebble, shaped like an egg
Wash the pebble nicely and dry it completely
Colour the pebble in a baby pink shade made my mixing Acrylic Colours - Crimson and White
Leave it to dry
Arrange and stick the single coloured tear drop shapes to form a flower with five petals
Use Fevicol MR for sticking
Arrange and stick the second layer of the petals which is also slightly bigger in size
Add more petals in layers around to make a bigger flower
Take 3mm green coloured quilling strips to make the leaves and the spirals
Arrange and stick them around the flower using Fevicol MR
Your Easter egg shaped pebble paper weight is ready
