STEP 1
Take a drawing paper and draw a square measuring 12" x 12" in size. Draw a traditional Persian design on the paper for a durry. Enlarge the drawing measuring 48" x 48"(4ft x 4ft) in size.
STEP 2
Take the blue denim cloth measuring 54" X 54" in size to make the Persian design pattern on the durry. Trace the Persian design on the denim cloth using white carbon paper. Mark and leave 6" from all the sides of the design for stitching.
STEP 3
Paint the Persian design durry with light and dark shades of orange, blue, green and violet using Fevicryl Soft Acrylic Colours - Chrome Yellow, Crimson, Dark Green, Olive Green, Orange, Prussian Blue, Ultramarine Blue, Violet, Cerulean Blue, Leaf Green, Sky Blue made by mixing a little of White and Black in an appropriate proportion. Leave it to dry.
STEP 4
Outline the design with dotted lines to replicate the kantha stitch using Fevicryl 3D Cone Outliner Non Sticky Glitter – Silver. Let it dry thoroughly.
STEP 5
Take the painted denim durry and stitch the borders evenly. Enhance the durry by bordering it with orange woolen pom-poms at equal distances
