STEP 1

STEP 2
Get started by taking the light and dark pink coloured quilling strips. Quill the strips to make loose coils. Pinch the coils on one end to make teardrops. Secure the ends with Fevicol MR. Make about 28 big and medium sized teardrop shapes.
STEP 3
Then take the green coloured quilling strips. Quill the strips to make loose coils to make the leaves. Secure the ends with Fevicol MR.
STEP 4
Take a recycled CD and stick the glass on it in the centre with Fabric Glue. Leave it to dry.
STEP 5
Stick the green coloured round shaped coils around the bottom part of the glass on the CD with Fevicol MR. Leave it to dry. Refer to the image.
STEP 6
Arrange and stick the pink coloured teardrops on the green coloured coils in a circular formation using Fevicol MR to form a lotus flower. Leave it to dry.
STEP 7
Stick the medium sized quilled teardrops on the inner side of the big teardrop to create layers for the lotus flower using Fevicol MR. Let it dry.
STEP 8
Enhance the glass by sticking few white ornamental stones using Fabric Glue around the rim of the glass as well as randomly around it. - This quilled is a very different and fascinating concept which not only looks colourful but is yet another diwali diya decoration that helps you learn quilling or paper craft.
