Description :
Cartoons are used for satire, for humor or depict a mood. Here we have a simple cartoon framed art DIY made using paper craft which depicts moods during a week, Sunday of course being the happiest day of the week. This framed wall art is a fun DIY which is used as an Emoji frame.
STEP 1
We start with a black card paper. Mark and cut black card paper measuring 9” x 3” in size from the card paper. Then fold the rectangle in the center by leaving 1” strip at the end for sticking. Similarly we take yellow card paper. We mark and cut the rectangle measuring 4 ½” x 3” in size from the yellow card paper. Then stick the yellow card paper on the black rectangle using Fevicol MR by leaving an even border from all the sides.
STEP 2
We then draw and cut a window at the on the bottom half measuring 1 ½” x 2” in size, as shown in the image. Then fold the black card paper from the center and stick the extra 1” strip on the inside.
STEP 3
When the glue has dried, draw and paint eyes, nose and eyebrows above the window using Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02 and White 27. Let it dry.
STEP 4
Then take the yellow card paper. Measure and mark a strip measuring 14” x 2” in size. Draw and then paint few expressions like laughing, sad, surprised, teasing, and big smile to depict different mood swings of the week using Acrylic Colours Black 02 and Crimson 04 and White 27. Let it dry.
STEP 5
Write and paint the name of the days below each expression with Acrylic Colour Black 02. Then paint the cheeks with a mix of Acrylic Colour Crimson 04 and White 27. Let it dry. Insert the strip through the rectangular face and we are done. Play with the strip or let your colleagues know your mood on a certain day. Isn’t this super fun and really easy to make!
