how to do it yourself

STEP 1:-

Take an A3 sized card paper
Draw and cut a 16" x 8" sized rectangle
Fold the rectangle in the centre to make the card

STEP 2:-

Take white, yellow and orange coloured quilling strips for the flame and the reds and browns for the diya
To make the diya join 2 - 3 brown coloured strips in gradation. Quill the strips using a quilling tool to form loose coils. Stick the end of the strip using Fevicol MR and shape the coil in a diya shape
Make the flame in a similar manner by using yellow and orange coloured quilling strips

STEP 3:-

Stick the quilled diya on the card slightly off centred using Fevicol MR
Refer to the main image

STEP 4:-

Depict the glow of the diya by making curvilinear lines using Fevicol MR
Embed few sequins at equal intervals
Let it dry

STEP 5:-

Sponge dab Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Pearl Metallic - Gold around the diya and little on the glow of the diya.
