A beautiful nature inspired mixed media mirror frame with fern leaves made in Shilpkar and painted in an antique gold shade, adds a royal look to your home decor.
how to do it yourself
STEP 1:-
Take Shilpkar Resin Base and Hardener and mix thoroughly to make an even dough
STEP 2:-
The properly kneaded shilpkar will form a nice even white dough
STEP 3:-
To make fern leaves, first make long thin coils for the stem of the leaves
Shape the fern leaves by the pinching technique and make the veins using a tool then join them on the stem
You may use Fevicryl Fabric Glue for sticking just incase the leaves dries up by the time you have to stick them
Make about 8 such big and small stems with leaves
STEP 4:-
Paint the leaves in an antique gold shade made by mixing Acrylic Colour Black 02 and Acrylic Colour Pearl Metallic - Gold 352
Let it dry
STEP 5:-
Take some more dough and make few spiral shapes and leave it to dry
Colour the spirals in antique gold effect made by mixing Acrylic Colour - Black 02 and Pearl Metallic Gold 352
STEP 6:-
Take a canvas board measuring 16" x 20" in size
Paint the canvas board with Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Pearl Metallic - Gold 352.
Let it dry.
Take a mirror that measures 7" x 18" inches in size
Stick the mirror in the centre of the painted canvas using Fevicryl Fabric Glue
STEP 7:-
Arrange and stick the leaves and the spirals around the mirror using Fevicryl Fabric Glue
Paint a few fern leaves and spirals around the mirror in an antique gold shade made by mixing Fevicryl Acrylic Colour - Black 02 and Pearl Metallic Gold 352.
STEP 8:-
And your mirror is ready!!!
