You Will Need:

Fevicryl Soft Acrylic Colours - Golden Yellow 209, Lemon Yellow 211, Sap Green 221, Vandyke Brown 237, Fevicryl Pearl Metallic Colour - Gold 352, Fevicryl Liquid Embroidery Pearl Metallic - Gold - 352, Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Fine Art Canvas Sheet, Colour Palette, Water Container, Pencil, A4 Sized White Paper, Yellow Carbon Paper, Golden Coloured Silk Fabric (or Colour Of Your Choice), Paper Canvas, Satin / Shiny Thread, Small and Big Sized Ornamental Stones, Half Cut Pearl Beads, 1 Big Golden Bead

Description :

This neck piece is inspired by a form of banana leaf seen in the miniature style of painting. It's representation is repetetive which has evovled into this particular design. You may use this design to make a beautiful neckline for the dress or a border of a saree

STEP 1

Cut the paper in a crescent shape in the size of your neck The thickest portion is about 2" thick Draw the banana leaves in the miniature style of painting, overlapping each other as shown in the picture

STEP 2

Trace the design on the silk fabric using carbon paper Outline it with Liquid Embroidery Pearl Metallic - Gold Let it dry Paint the leaves in a green shade made by mixing Soft Acrylic Colours - Lemon Yellow and Sap Green and the yellow line, by mixing Golden Yellow and Lemon Yellow Leave it to dry

STEP 3

The thin lines for the veins of the leaves are made by mixing Soft Acrylic Colours - Lemon Yellow, Sap Green and Vandyke Brown The shade for the veins is darker than the green shade for the leaves Tiny flowers are created by sticking few small sized ornamental stones with No Stitch Fabric Glue in the empty spaces and Liquid Embroidery Pearl Metallic - Gold

STEP 4

Cut the paper canvas in the same shape as that of the collar to sandwich it in between the two golden fabrics for stiffness

STEP 5

Stitch the collared necklace from both the sides with a golden thread

STEP 6

Stick the red ornamental stones on the lower edge of the collar with Liquid Embroidery Cone Pearl Metallic - Gold with its ring formed around it Let it dry

STEP 7

Thread half cut pearls individually in a separate thread Stick them with No Stitch Fabric Glue on the rear side of the neck piece in a way that only the pearls are visible from the front Let it dry Cover the rear side with a canvas sheet and cut in the size of the neckpiece and paint with Pearl Metallic Colour - Gold to hide the threads of the pearl and for a good finished look

STEP 8

Tie a bead and make the loop with a satin or shiny thread
