Chinese Painting Inspired Table Mat
You Will Need:
Fabric, Fevicryl Sunflower Kit, Fevicryl Liquid Embroidery cones, Fine Art Round brushes, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Lace

Make a table mat taking inspiration from the colorful Chinese style of painting.STEP 1
Take a square cotton fabric. Make sure the fabric is a de-starched one.
To de-starch a fabric, you need to soak the fabric in boiling water for a couple of minutes.
STEP 2
Use this design of a mythological bird and trace it onto your fabric using carbon paper.
STEP 3
Use Fevicryl Soft Acrylic colors and Fine Art round brushes to paint the bird. Make sure to paint it as colorful as possible. Allow the paint to dry.
STEP 4
Use Fevicryl Liquid Embroidery cones of different colors to give the corresponding outlines for the entire design. Allow this to dry.
STEP 5
You can also add a lace to the border of the fabric. Use Fevicryl Fabric Glue to attach the lace.
STEP 6
You can use this table mat as a centre piece for a coffee table or as a display on any table top.
