Bird House

You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Dark Green 06, Light Green 12, Sap Green 21, White 27, Crimson 14, Lemon Yellow 11, Vandyke Brown 37, Fine Art Brushes, Fevicol MR, Colour Palette, Water Container, Recycled Box, Corrugated Sheet (or a recyclable box), Jute Yarn, Scissors, Paper Cutter, Pencil, Scale

Description :

A simple, fun activity for children that can also help them observe the bird and their behaviours, what a good way for children to engage with nature.

 

 

STEP 1
Take a corrugated box of approximately 6” x 6”in size that you can recycle
STEP 2
Cut a small arched door, leaving a gap of an inch from the lower edge of the box
STEP 3
Take the corrugated sheet and cut a rectangular piece for the sloping roof of the house as per the size of the box
STEP 4
Cut 2 same sized triangles to support the sloping roof
STEP 5
Paint the house as well as the cut arched door using Acrylic Colour - White Stick the cut door as the doorstep with Fevicol MR Paint the roof using Vandyke Brown Let it dry
STEP 6
Paint the house in uneven stripes of green shades made by mixing Lemon Yellow 11, Dark Green 06, Light Green 12, Sap Green 21 and White 27.
STEP 7
Take a jute yarn to suspend the bird house on the tree.
