Aborigional Mobile Pouch
You Will Need:
Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Regular - Black 02, White 27, Yellow Ochre 26, Fine Art Brushes, Fine Art Canvas Sheet, Fevicryl No Stich Fabric Glue A4 sized White Drawing Paper, Yellow Carbon Paper, Paper Cutter, Pencil, Ruler, Eraser, Scissors, 2 pieces of White Ornamental Stones for the eyes
Description :
This tribal mobile pouch is an apt accessory to show of your wild side
Its also an opportunity to learn a new technique of cutwork on canvas and stippling effect.
STEP 1
Draw an Aborigional tribal face mask design on an A4 sized drawing paper in the same size as that of your mobile
Leave a 1” margin on the two lateral and bottom sides
STEP 2
Cut three pieces of fine art canvas measuring a little more than the size of the drawing on the paper.
Trace the design on one of the pieces using a carbon paper.
STEP 3
Cut out all the negative areas with a sharp paper cutter.
STEP 4
Colour the mask in a shade of brown made by mixing Acrylic Colours - Black and Yellow Ochre
Paint it's borders and the two remaining canvas pieces with Black
Leave it to dry
STEP 5
Stick the two black canvas pieces with No Stitch Fabric Glue by turning their edges inwards
STEP 6
Cut the mask in the size of the pouch and stick it on one of the surfaces
Colour the mask with stippling effect using the back end of a thin painting brush
The colours used for stippling are Acrylic Colours - Yellow Ochre outlined with White
Stick white ornamental stones for the eyes using No Stitch Fabric Glue
