A Platter With A Callalily
You Will Need:
Fevicryl Non Sticky Shilpkar, Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Crimson 04, Chrome Yellow 03, White 27, Light Green 12, Dark Green 06, Sap Green 21, Orange 17, Lemon Yellow 11, Golden Yellow 09, Fine Art Brushes, Fevicryl No Stitch Fabric Glue, Colour Palette . Water Container, Paper Cutter and Square Porcelain Plate, Rolling Pin
Description :
Left with one or two square plates from your crockery set? Would you want to make it interesting? Just create some curly leaves and bright cheerful Callalily with buds. Simple enough to create! See it, learn it and bring nature to your showcase.
STEP 1
Mix Shilpkar Resin Base and Hardener in equal quantities
Mix it properly to make an even white dough
Make a round ball of dough and roll a thin slab in a circular shape with the help of a rolling pin
The diameter of the circular slab is of about 5 inches
STEP 2
Fold the slab to form a conical shape
You may pinch and flare the open side little more by pinching the rims to form the flower
STEP 3
The rear side of the cone is flat to facilitate sticking the flower on the platter
STEP 4
Roll a coil that is in the shape of the pollen stalk
Make tiny balls from the dough to make the pollens
STEP 5
Stick all the pollens on the tip of the pollen stalk using No Stitch Fabric Glue
You may also stick the pollens directly when the stalk and the pollens are still wet
Stick the pollen stick inside the flower
Leave it to dry
STEP 6
Cut two elongated leaf shapes about 1 and ½ inch long and proportionately wide
STEP 7
Overlap the leaves to make it look like a bud
STEP 8
Take Shilpkar dough and roll a thin slab using a rolling pin
Cut a leaf shape about 5 inches long and proportionately wide (bigger leaf size)
Fold the leaf in the centre and pinch it on the edges to give a wavy look
STEP 9
Similarly make a smaller leaf
STEP 10
Roll a thin coil for the stem of the flower
STEP 11
Arrange all the parts modeled in Shilpkar and stick them on the platter using No Stitch Fabric Glue
Colour the flowers and the leaves using Acrylic Colours in shading effect
