How To Do it Yourself
First we have to prepare the legs of the star by wrapping cotton thread over a paper cone with celofane sheet, the thread is immersed in fevicol to get its shape from the cone. All five legs to be prepared in this way. let them dry for a day or two, remove the paper cone from the threaded cones.
The threaded cone is plated with fevicol again and then the silver dust is sprinkled to give a starry look to the all the legs. Let them dry for a day.
Prepare snow flakes using silver glitter and 3D outliner, which will be used to decorate the star.
Now we have to join the legs to give the shape to the star. For this use a base of thermocol sheet and place the legs on that. Use fabric glue to join them in a star shape. Let it dry for a day and then you can finish the base plate to hide beneath the star. Put a 10 watt yellow bulb in-between the legs to give lighting effect in the star.
Now we have to make a top cover to close the space between the legs of the star. For this use a circular ring of thermocol of the size of the space available, use glue and silver dust to decorate it. After it is dry, put it in the empty space and fix on the legs of the star, thereby closing the box of the star.
Now we have to create one red color star using transparent OHP sheet and glass colour. This would be place on the top of the circular plate we created earlier. Let it dry and then paste it using the fabric glue.
Fix the snow flakes we created earlier with the use of fabric glue, your star is almost complete. Finish from all sides and then hang it on the wall. Arrange electrical connections to the bulb we had inserted in between.
Take trial of the electrical connections you just made. Your lightening star is ready.
Here is the final star, illuminated from inside, giving a true look of the christmas star!!
