Valentine's Day Ideas

February the month where we see all things heart, red and pink and love is in the air. 14th February is when Valentine’s Day is celebrated, but the fervor and spirit begins days before. It’s a day when you get that golden chance to express your love and affection to people who are close to you in your life and who mean a lot to you. It becomes a time and occasion to gift things that convey love and colour plays a very vital role during Valentine’s Day.

Shops and malls offer huge options on this occasion and one is virtually spoilt for choice. What can make that huge difference is….to make things by yourself – handmade gifts and goodies! Doesn’t that sound so much more personal and interesting? A handmade gift when received is not only valued more but like it’s often said it’s the thought behind it that always lingers and is remembered for a long-long time.

We at Fevicryl Hobbyideas are here to give you some great, fun filled and easy DIYs to make your Valentine’s Day all the more special,  DIYs that are memorable and convey so much more.

  1. The Classic Card - Say it with flowers and a classic card. If you are conversant with calligraphy that’s a bonus, or else a small font alphabet stencil should help you write your message well with our Fevicryl Acrylic Colour - Crimson that would make your Valentine’s Day message explicit and expressive.

  2. Heart felt message on a plank - A leftover plank can be an ideal base to write your Valentine a heartfelt message. A good way would be to make it as attractive as one can. Paint the base with Teal and write your message in a fancy typo with Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Poppy Red or Coral Red. If you have space around the plank, make tiny dots with an ear bud with Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Chrome or Lemon Yellow. This would make for one happy handmade gift with a message straight from the heart.

  3. Happy buntings – Would this not be a great way to celebrate your Valentine’s day party? Making happy and heart shaped buntings that have been cut out of card paper and then painted with Fevicryl Acrylic Colour – Coral Red. Add bling to it by sticking sequins big or small with Fevicryl Fabric Glue.

  4. Wicker basket with a splash of Poppy Red– An old wicker basket painted in our favourite Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Poppy Red and loaded with chocolates, cookies and all goodies to make your hamper look every bit for the occasion.  Add a lovely bright bow on top of the basket handle and there you have a hamper basket for your Valentine.
