How do I check the status of my order?

Your order status is updated to you via emails and sms at every step. Once your order is placed you will receive an sms and an email with your order details. Again after your order is dispatched we will send you an sms with your tracking details. In case you don’t see any update please check your spam box and old SMSs.

Can I cancel my order?

If you wish to cancel your order, get in touch with Customer Care as soon as possible with your order number. As long as your order has not been dispatched we can cancel it and refund your amount. If your order has been dispatched but yet to be delivered, please do not accept delivery and contact Customer Care 022-28357571 to inform them of the same. In case of Prepaid orders Refunds will be processed as per our Return policies.

I got a confirmation call for my order. Why is that?

We give you a confirmation call so that you can verify your order and confirm that there isn’t any change with your order.

Do you allow exchanges ?

YES!!! There could be certain circumstances beyond our control where you could receive a damaged / defective product or a product that is not the same as per your original order. We will replace the product to your satisfaction at no extra cost.

How long will the return process take?

Once your return request has been placed with Customer Service, it usually takes about 72 hrs to have the product picked from your place and another 7 days to initiate refund subject to product inspection. In case you are sending the product back on your own, the delivery time would depend on your chosen courier.

How will I receive my Refund and how long will it take?

  • Orders paid by Credit/Debit Card will be reversed within 7 working days and will reflect in the next statement.

  • Orders paid by Net Banking accounts will be credited back to payee’s bank account.

  • For all other modes of payment, we will send a discount voucher.

How long will the refund process take?

It depends on the mode of payment you have chosen. It doesn’t take more than 10 days from the time we receive the product.

I was charged shipping charges and convenience charge for my order. If I return my order, will I get back my shipping charge along with the refund?

NO, these would not be included in the refund value of your order as they are non-refundable charges.

Is exchange available in my area?

Currently exchange is operational in areas where we can arrange pick up. Please contact our customer service to find out if exchange is available in your area.

Will I be charged for exchange?

There is no charge for exchange. All you need to do is to return the original item and exchange it for an item/s of same or higher value. In case you choose an item of higher value, you can pay the differential amount as cash on delivery (COD). COD charges will be applicable.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Delivery times vary across India & orders are delivered 1-5 days after dispatch depending on the PIN Code accessibility.

Are there any shipping charges?

SHIPPING IS FREE FOR ALL ORDERS ABOVE Rs. 2000.

For all orders below Rs. 2000:

  • Shipping Charges (Online Payment): Rs. 100
  • Shipping Charges (COD): Rs. 200
    - Delivery Charges = Rs. 100 + Convenience Charges = Rs. 100

Note: Minimum order value for shipping is Rs. 100

Do you ship internationally?

Currently, we ship only across India. We'll begin international shipping in the near future.

What is the process for Cash On Delivery (COD) purchase?

  • Cash on Delivery allows you to pay for your order with cash at the time of delivery.
  • To place an order and pay for it using Cash on Delivery (COD), please select the 'Cash On Delivery' option on the payment page.
  • There is a non-refundable convenience charge of Rs. 200 levied on Cash on Delivery purchases of amount less than Rs 2000. However in case of prepaid orders these charges are not applicable.
  • If COD option is not available on your address you can always opt for NetBanking or Credit/Debit Card

What should I do if my payment fails?

If your account has been debited after a payment failure, it is normally rolled back to your bank account within 7 business days. You can contact customer care for any clarification.

Why isn't COD available to me?

Cash on Delivery (COD) option is not offered by our Courier partners at few serviceable locations. Hence, it may not be available to you. However, you can always opt for payment through Net Banking or Credit Card/Debit Card.

Can I place a bulk order for an item(s)?

YES!! We, at Hobby Ideas also provide you with an option of buying bulk quantities of a single item or multiple items. All you need to do is fill in the form in the ‘Bulk Order’ section to let us know your request and we will get back to you on your contact number.

How can I find out if you deliver to my pincode?

In case of prepaid orders, we ship to all locations across India. To check if COD is available in your location, please enter your pincode in the COD serviceability tool on the right side in all the product detail pages.

  • Go to Discussion Forum section
  •  Click on ‘Start a Discussion’
  • Fill in your query, select a craft category and sub-category it best fits in, upload a related image (if relevant) and you are good to go! 

What are the guidelines on starting a discussion?

  • Post queries that are related to the world to the arts and crafts
  • Upload an image only if you feel it will help members in understanding and answering your queries better
  • Do not upload images that are not relevant to your query
  • Add reference links if required
  • Tag your query with the keywords that you feel are relevant. For example, if you are posting a query related to origami, tags would be paper, paper craft, origami, origami art, etc.

All members of Hobby Ideas creative community can share their innovative creations on the website. This way, we will get to learn from one another and expand our art and craft horizons together! 

OK. I want to upload my creation on the website. What is the process?

Sharing your creations with the world in three simple steps:

  • Step 1 – Introduction:
    - Upload a good quality image of the finished creation or a descriptive video of the same. In case of videos, you will have to upload it on YouTube first and then copy-paste the YouTube link. To know how to upload videos on Youtube, click here - Enter the title and a short description of your creation - Choose the category and sub-category that your creation best fits into - And finally, select a difficulty level for your creation and enter the approx. time taken to finish it
  • Step 2 – List of Material Required:
    - List all the material used in your creation here
  • Step 3 – Stepwise Instructions:
    - Starting with the first step, upload the image that depicts Step 1 - Enter the description for Step 1 - Likewise, upload images of creation at various levels of completion from start to finish - Enter an explanatory description with each step

Here are a few additional points to consider!

  • There is no limit to the number of steps. You could add as many steps as you think are necessary
  • We urge to you detail the steps as much as possible. This will help viewers learn from your skills and recreate your magic
  • Good quality images will inspire the viewers to try out your creation right away
  • Where applicable, mention the approximate sizes and dimensions in the steps
  • In the material used, add specifications to the colours used. For example, crimson colour should be mentioned as Fevicryl Acrylic Colours – Crimson 04

What are the mandatory fields to be entered in the Share Your Creation Process?

Following fields are mandatory. If any one of the fields is empty, you’ll not be able to submit your entry for review:

1.       Title

2.       Short Description

3.       Craft Category

4.       Sub-category, wherever applicable

5.       Difficulty Level

6.       Image of finished product or a descriptive video of the same

7.       List of material used

8.       Stepwise instructions on how to  make the creation

What are the guidelines for sharing one’s own creation on the site?

General guidelines are:

  • Creation should be the author’s original piece of art or craft. Plagiarized entries are not allowed
  • All mandatory fields should be filled
  •  Images should be clear
  • Description of steps should be detailed and understandable

What is the criteria for approving submitted entries for publishing on the site?

Entries with detailed instructions in the form of stepwise procedure and clear stepwise images are most likely to be approved to go live on the site, and earn higher popularity ranking. 

How do I search for arts and crafts workshops at my location?

Searching for arts and crafts workshops in your area is easy!

  • Go to ‘Find Workshops' section
  • In the ‘Sort By’ option, select ‘Location’
  • Select your location from a dropdown list to find fun workshops in your area!

What are the guidelines for adding workshop details on the website?

  • The option to add workshop details on the site is available exclusively for teachers conducting arts and crafts hobby workshops at home or at any other private venue
  • At the time of signing up on the site, select ‘Yes’ to the question ‘Are you an arts and crafts teacher or do you conduct arts and crafts workshops at home?’
  •  In case you have registered without selecting above option,  go to ‘edit profile’, and tick the ‘Do you conduct workshops at home’ option
  • The teacher status will be verified and authenticated by our team, following which teachers will have option to upload their workshop details on the site
  • Fill in all required details on your workshop. Make it as descriptive as possible
  • Upload an image that shows the arts and crafts you plan to teach at your workshops
  •  Mark only the relevant craft categories and subcategories you teach at the workshops, and do not mark all options as that will misguide viewers
  •  We do not recommend uploading an image that displays only the  products – as mentioned above, upload image that depicts arts and crafts work
  • Fill in accurate phone number and email address in your profile, as we provide an option to the viewers to express interest in your workshop directly through the website
  • Depending on your preferred mode i.e. SMS or email, you will receive the name and contact details of viewers who’ve expressed interest in your workshop. At the same time, your contact details will be sent to the viewer via SMS or email
  • The website is a platform to connect teachers and interested hobbyists. Teachers and interested viewers are expected to work out further details, say fees, through mutual agreement
