This beautiful wall clock is made using quilled flowers and leaves using simple quilling techniques to achieve a delicate looking floral design. Use these flowers in a variety of colour combinations to create clocks, cards and much more.

STEP 1
Wall Clock  - Step 1 | Hobbyideas

Take a round MDF wooden placemat
Drill a hole in the centre of the placemat for attaching the clock machine from its rear side
Colour it using Sparkling Pearl Colour - Gold
You may give 2 to 3 coats of colour for an even look
Leave it to dry

STEP 2

To make the flower take a 5mm yellow strip and roll it into a tight quill
Take 3, 10mm white strips and stick them to make a longer strip
Cut fringes on the strip
Stick one end of the fringed strip on the tight quill and roll it to make the flower
Stick the ends with Fevicol MR
The smaller flowers are made by using 1 strip of white paper
Make loose quills in brown strips for the leaves and the spirals
Make 8 to 10 leaves
The spirals are made by turning them into curvilinear shapes

STEP 3

Some of the spirals are made by running the brown paper strip through a crimping tool to get a wavy effect

STEP 4

Arrange and stick the leaves, flowers and curvilinear shapes using Fevicol MR on the borders of the wall clock in an arrangement of your choice.

you will need

Fevicryl Sparkling Pearl Colour - Gold 912, Fine Art Brushes, Fevicol MR, Quilling Strips - 5mm and 7mm (assorted colours), Slotted Quilling Tool, Paper Crimping Tool, Colour Palette, Round MDF Wooden Placemat. Water Container
