These beautiful rustic looking vases are made in Shilpkar and Epoxy clay with resin base and hardener. You can make them the desired sizes and shapes as per your requirement. You may use it as a vase to make few dry flower arrangements or keep your pen /  pencils organized.

STEP 1
Shilpkar vases - Step 1 | Hobbyideas

Take Shilpkar Resin Base and Hardener and mix thoroughly to make an even dough
You will need to knead about 6 packets of 50 gms of Shilpkar to make the bigger vase and 4 packets for the smaller vase

STEP 2

Place the ball of the evenly kneaded Shilpkar on the marble or a glass working surface and roll the slab using a rolling pin
Similarly, make the smaller slab for the smaller vase

STEP 3

Place the ball of the evenly kneaded Shilpkar on the marble or a glass working surface and roll the slab using a rolling pin
Similarly, make the smaller slab for the smaller vase

STEP 4

Roll the slab on a cardboard paper roll or a long bottle to get a cylindrical shape
Overlap both the ends of the slab and merge it properly for a finished look
Repeat the same for the smaller vase

STEP 5

Take some more dough and roll it into a thick slab for the base of the vases
Trace the circle of the cylinder on the slab and cut out the circles and stick it for the base
Make a thick long coil from the Shilpkar dough and border the top side of the vases

STEP 6

Paint the vase by giving a coat of Acrylic Colour - Black 02 from inner and the outer side
Wipe out little colour from the outer surface of the vase using a rag when the colour is semi dried to give an old and rustic look
Let it dry

STEP 7

Paint both the vases with Solvent Based - Glass Colour - Turquoise Blue 812
Leave it to dry
