This is a cereal box craft that when made is a pencil holder. How creative is that?
Take any cereal box which you can recycle to make the pen / pencil holder.
I have taken a box which is 8” x 12” in size.
Cut the box measuring 8” x 5” in size along with the flap.
Take an A4 sized yellow, orange and red coloured card papers.
Tear the coloured card papers into small pieces further to make the collage on the cereal box.
Refer to the image.
Take the cereal box which we have cut for the pen / pencil case.
Start sticking the torn papers on it by following the colour combinations starting from red to yellow using Fevicol MR.
Let it dry thoroughly.
After making the collage effect by sticking the pieces of torn paper your box / case will look like this.
Take small pieces of orange and yellow coloured card papers.
Draw the smiley face of the sun on the yellow card paper and the rays of the sun on the orange card paper.
Cut along the outlines of the sun and the sun rays.
Paint the sun and the sun rays with Acrylic Colour - Black 02.
Let it dry.
Stick the cutout of the sun and the sun rays on one corner of the case along with the googly eyes with Fevicol MR.
Take the yellow coloured woollen strands and make the loops for the case.
Stick the loops and the buttons on the case to cover the lid / flap using Fevicol MR.
Let it dry.
Your case is ready as a holder for your pen / pencils.
This is how best out waste from a box has creatively converted into a utility pencil holder. A good way to inculcate the value of being eco friendly by teaching kids at a young age to recycle something like a cereal box into a craft.
