This paper lantern is just so easy to make, just make some coloured windows in the paper. Draw a nice curvilinear diya in the colours of your choice and roll it into a cylinder to make a beautiful lantern and wish everyone a very happy crafting Diwali
Take coloured gateway paper measuring 12” x 16” and draw a diya design and few squares of different sizes
Cutout the squares from the paper to create windows
Paint the Diya in thick outlines using Sparkling Pearl Colour – Dark Blue
Let it dry
Place the cutout squares on the OHP sheet and trace the outlines
Fill in the squares with Fevicryl - Glass Colour - Water Based – Golden Yellow, Tomato Red and Crystal Green
Let them dry
Cutout the painted squares from the OHP sheet leaving a border of about 5mm on all the sides
Stick them on the window spaces left on the paper lantern using Fevicol MR.
Outline the windows on the paper using Fevicryl Liquid Embroidery Glitter - Silver
Stick the two vertical edges of the paper to form a cylindrical lantern using Fevicol MR.
Punch holes on top of the lantern and insert threads through them to hang the lantern
