These decorative bags are made out of regular paper gift bags that you get in the market. Use few left over fabric pieces, ornamental stones and colours to make them look festive.
Take the golden coloured handmade paper bag
Remove the handles of the bag so that you can make a flap for the bag
Measure the width of the bag to make a cover flap
Cut the golden coloured handmade paper according to the measured size
Cut the brocade fabric little bigger than the size of the paper so that the edges can be turned inside for a good finish
Stick the fabric on this piece using No Stitch Fabric Glue and let it dry
Stick the flap on the rear side of the bag and let it dry
Stick a decorative lace on the front edge along the width of this flap
The bag will look like this from the front
To create a brooch design for the flap take handmade paper and cut it in the shape of a fan (if the handmade paper is not very thick you may stick two paper shapes back to back using Fevicol MR.
Decorate the fan shape with kundan stones and 3D Cone Outliner Pearl Metallic - Gold 352
Let it dry.
Stick the brooch in the centre of the front edge of the flap using No Stitch Fabric Glue
Weave in colourful beads into the wire to form the handle
Insert the wire into the flap of the bag
This bags is painted using Fevicryl Stencils and Acrylic Colours Pearl Metallic - Gold
Leave it to dry
The space around the stenciled design is decorated with ornamental stones stuck randomly
using No Stitch Fabric Glue
