step 1

Paper quilling fridge fruit magnets

Note : Crimp all the paper strips prior to quilling unless specified otherwise. Orange 1. Glue six strips of orange color each of length 12 inch to get a long orange strip of total 72 inch length. 2. Roll into a semi tight circle. 3. Place the circle on a flat surface & release the tension to around 1.5 inch diameter. Glue the loose end. 4. Use tweezers to pull the center coil up & off the center. 5. Apply mod podge all over the orange circle. This helps to make the quilled shape water resistant & also gives a glossy finish. Let it dry 6. Take the orange color cardstock paper & cut into a circle of diameter slightly less then the quilled orange semi tight circle. 7. Stick the quilled shape on one side of the cardstock paper. Let it dry. 8. On the other side of cardstock paper stick the magnet using hot glue.

Apple 1. Glue six strips of red color each of length 12 inch to get a long red strip of total 72 inch length. 2. Roll into a semi tight circle. 3. Place the circle on a flat surface & release the tension to around 1.5 inch diameter. Glue the loose end. 4. Press the top of shape against pencil to form an indentation. 5. Press near bottom on both the sides to make a slight point. 6. Press upon the point once to complete the apple shape. Use tweezers to pull the center coil up & to right. 7. Stem : Take 4 inch of brown strip & roll into a loose circle. Form into a stem shape. 8. Leaves : Take 10 inch of green paper & roll into a loose circle. Pinch to form a shaped marquise. Make two such leaves. 9. Glue the stem & leaves to the top of the apple. 10. Apply mod podge all over the quilled apple. Let it dry 11. Take the red color cardstock paper & cut into the shape same as the quilled apple formed (slightly smaller). 12. Stick the quilled shape on one side of the cardstock paper. Let it dry. 13. On the other side of cardstock paper stick the magnet using hot glue.

Grapes 1. Roll 14 loose circles each using 4 inch of purple strip. 2. Using 4 inch of brown strip form one stem shape. 3. Using 6 inch of olive green strip form a tear drop shape. Make two such tear drops. 4. Using 3inch of olive green strip from a shaped marquise. Make total of 3 such shaped marquise. 5. use 3 inch of brown strip. Do not crimp this strip. Cut it lengthwise & shape into spiral. 6. Glue the 14 purple loose circles as shown in pic to form a bunch of grapes. 7. Glue the stem, tear drops, shaped marquise & spirals to the top of the grape bunch as shown in pic. 8.Apply mod podge all over the quilled grape bunch. Let it dry 9. Take the purple color cardstock paper & cut into the shape same as the quilled grape bunch formed (slightly smaller). 10. Stick the quilled shape on one side of the cardstock paper. Let it dry. 11. On the other side of cardstock paper stick the magnet using hot glue.

Plum 1. Glue four strips of purple color each of length 12 inch to get a long purple strip of total 48 inch length. 2. Roll into a semi tight circle. 3. Place on a flat surface & release tension to 13/8 inch diameter. 4. Push in the sides to make an egg shape. 5. Use tweezers to pull the center coil down towards wider end of egg shape. 6. Leaf : use 8 inch of olive green strip & shape into a marquise. 7. Stem : Use 3 inch of olive green strip & shape into a stem. 8. Glue stem & leaf to the top of the plum. 9.Apply mod podge all over the quilled plum. Let it dry 10. Take the purple color cardstock paper & cut into the shape same as the quilled plum formed (slightly smaller). 11. Stick the quilled shape on one side of the cardstock paper. Let it dry. 12. On the other side of cardstock paper stick the magnet using hot glue.

step 5

Paper quilling fridge fruit magnets

Pear 1. Glue six strips of yellow color each of length 12 inch to get a long yellow strip of total 72 inch length. 2. Roll into semi tight circle. Release tension to 1.5 inch diameter. 3. Shape into a pear by curling the sides at the top around 1 inch dowel not making the top pointed. 4. Use tweezers to pull the center coil down & off the center. 5. Leaf : Roll 6 inch of olive green strip into a marquise. 6. Stem : Loosely fold a brown strip of 5 inch to form a stem. 7. Glue the stem & leaf on top. 8.Apply mod podge all over the quilled pear. Let it dry 9. Take the yellow color cardstock paper & cut into the shape same as the quilled pear formed (slightly smaller). 10. Stick the quilled shape on one side of the cardstock paper. Let it dry. 11. On the other side of cardstock paper stick the magnet using hot glue.

step 6

Paper quilling fridge fruit magnets

Banana 1. Glue six strips of yellow color each of length 12 inch to get a long yellow strip of total 72 inch length. 2. Roll into a semi tight circle. Release tension to 2 inch diameter.. 3. Using a dowel shape into a crescent. 4. Make slight point on one end & a square point on the other. 5. Using tweezers pull center coil up on one side. 6. Apply mod podge all over the quilled banana. Let it dry 7. Take the yellow color cardstock paper & cut into the shape same as the quilled banana formed (slightly smaller). 8. Stick the quilled shape on one side of the cardstock paper. Let it dry. 9. On the other side of cardstock paper stick the magnet using hot glue.

You Will NeedYou Will Need

Material required : 1. 1/4 inch or 5mm wide quilling paper strip of 12 inch length (color : orange,red,brown, green, purple, olive green, yellow) 2. cardstock paper (color : orange, red, purple, yellow) 3. paper crimper 4. 1 inch dowel 5. extra strong magnets 6. mod podge gloss lustre glue cum sealant. 7. all purpose or craft glue 8. hot glue 9. tweezers 10. paint brush or foam brush to apply mod podge.
